In my configuration, I added all the IP to hostname mappings to
"/etc/hosts" file in all oVirt node and oVirt engine server. Migration
worked fine for me.

As per Itamar's response this relates to an issue with the version of libvirt that we
originally released on, as I understand it even where this applies though not having an
FQDN for the node(s) only impacts migration. Not being able to connect the node at all
sounds like a different issue.
