Yes, I entered the old password and the new password twice, but
password was not changed.

Can you try running:
/sbin/grub2-install /dev/mapper/3600508e000000000c759bf82c5f06d0d
--boot-directory=/liveos --force
It should give us some output as to why the grub install is failing.
