Have you tried making sure it is plugged into a USB 2.0 port or hub? I have had no luck
passing through USB3.0 in the past.

Actually this is broken on an earlier version of ovirt at another customer of mine. They
are running ovirt 4.2.3. I tried to make sure I could get it working on the latest release
in order to troubleshoot that issue. I have provided the latest information and created
the bugzilla case.
