hosted-engine-setup was indeed doing something more on the HA side.
I suggest to clean-up and try again, manually configuring it will
requires more time.
How do I go about adding my default NFS storage domain because no
storage
domain exists currently despite my hosted_engine being a VM already running
on my default domain? In fact when I look at my hosted_engine and go to
disks it shows there is no disk at all.
It's attended: on oVirt 3.5 the hosted-engine storage domain (and also
the engine VM by the way) are not directly managed by the engine.
You have to add an additional Storage Domain for other VMs.
