Hello John, This seems to be unrelated to Spice, and also happens with VNC and without QXL device. I suppose you are trying to change the resolution from within the guest using system Settings -> Displays. Please try the following methods: 1. Simply enlarge the "console" window with your mouse on the client side. With Spice (and vdagent running), that should adjust your guest resolution (although may not be exactly 1024x768). Or 2. In your guest, try to adjust resolution using xrandr: open a gnome-terminal and run xrandr | grep Virtual ( make sure "Virtual-0" is the name to use) xrandr | grep '*' ( see the resolution before/after the change) xrandr --output Virtual-0 --mode 1024x768 (set the resolution) Hope that helps, Uri.
