I haven't tried it recently, but last time I did, the export domains were compatible. Worst case, you can always do a manual disk move
there is no direct upgrade path, though it may work. for now export/import should be ok. a maybe on the future detach/attach storage domain use case (not implemented yet).
I also have an export domain which is connected to oVirt 3.3 and RHEV 3.2 where I can move vms between these environments. With the export domain you can also do a migration. Depending on the version (e.g. oVirt 3.3 vs RHEV 3.2) you have to manually edit the ovf, as there are newer/other settings in oVirt then in RHEV and RHEV want recognize the exported vm. So migration can be a little tricky, but it's doable. Regards, René

Or not ;-)
Would it be possible (and doable) to migrate from oVirt to RHEV?
If we start out with oVirt, but after some time we decide that RHEV would be a better fit after all, would it be possible to hook up existing oVirt/VDSM hosts to a RHEV engine, or am I thinking way too simple now?
Cheers, Martijn.
