Thanks! this looks like a step in the right direction! A few caveats I see and further questions: 1. Seems I would require a storage domain where I can access the files from somewhere external to the system. I guess I could try using a VM running on the same engine instead and attach/detach disks to/from it. 2. This creates a non-sparse, non-thin VM disk no?
