Dear all
I have an issue with ~same environment~ to make tg3 nic communicate between rocky linux
8.9 oVirt 4.4 engine and rocky linux 8.9 fresh installed host.
Thanks to this post (
https://forums.centos.org/viewtopic.php?t=65299), I had to make the
ifcfg simplications to make engine communicate with the host and therefore be able to
install the host via ovirt web UI.
Then after setting up the network via ovirt and reboot the host, I lost the communicatiin
between ovirt engine and the host (even ping does not work).
Note that I have a virtualized pfsense between engine and host. All firewalls are opened.
From anywhere else than the engine subnet I can communicate with the host and the engine
can also communicate with any device on the same subnet than the host... so my thought is
that there might be some incompatible parameter between pfsense and the host.... but then
'why did it work before the vdsm installation ? :-/ ). This last fact makes me think
that it's a vdsm/nmstate/ethtool parameter that I have to tune...
Any help would be much appreciated...
(host is a hp proliant DL360 with tg3 3.137 module coming from base rocky linux)
