I tried to deploy hosted-engine without deploying gluster (Hyperconverged)
and I did not need to remove 6900/tcp.
No? But you wrote below that you removed it and then it worked. I might be
missing something.

This looks identical to a similar case from a few weeks ago [1].
Any chance you can try checking what/who did this change to your
firewall conf prior to deployment?
It sounds like a new change somewhere.
Adding Ritesh. Any idea? This is the second report we got about port 6900
already being configured
in firewalld, thus failing the deployment.
