Hello,
I have been having an issue with noVNC where it would not connect too the console of my
machines.
So, I though I would take the plunge and upgrade the engine which is standalone on a VM
Workstation 10 guest running CentOS 6.
The steps I followed were:
# yum install
http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/yum-repo/ovirt-release36.rpm
# yum update "ovirt-engine-setup*"
# engine-setup
followed the prompts until completion:
[ INFO ] Starting engine service
[ INFO ] Restarting httpd
[ INFO ] Stage: Clean up
Log file is located at
/var/log/ovirt-engine/setup/ovirt-engine-setup-20151105171406-g6bzdc.log
[ INFO ] Generating answer file
'/var/lib/ovirt-engine/setup/answers/20151105172125-setup.conf'
[ INFO ] Stage: Pre-termination
[ INFO ] Stage: Termination
[ INFO ] Execution of setup completed successfully
I then went to the shown URL
https://engine-manager.mydomain.com:443/ovirt-engine
and was greated with a 404 file not found error :( On checking
/var/log/ovirt-engine/engine.log its reporting:
2015-11-05 17:21:44,025 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.bll.Backend] (ServerService Thread

It very much looks like the engine is not supported on a VM guest :(
All help appreciated please! :)
Thanks, Phil
