Only the host_id is different. I haven't touched that file either.
Can you please check/share also broker.log? Thanks.
Also, you can try enabling debug-level logging by editing
/etc/ovirt-hosted-engine-ha/*log.conf, setting 'level=DEBUG'
under '[logger_root]' and restarting the services.
