I spoke too soon. Once you successfully login using the external domain, that option
should be pre-selected next time you go to log in. Let me know if that's not the
case.

At the moment, I don't believe so. But I am working on that feature this very
moment.

You should be able to use a greasemonkey script in the meantime.
