Subject: Re: [Users] Unable to add host in a development setup - "Host
kernelpanic.home installation failed. Failed
to decode own public key from store 'keys/engine.p12' using alias
'1'."
I eliminated the error: [ ERROR ] Failed to execute stage 'Misc
configuration': Command '/home/wil/ovirt-engine/share/
ovirt-engine/bin/engine-encrypt-passwd.sh
by installing jboss
sudo yum install jboss-as
But you already had jboss... I would like to know why it failed.
Have you specified wrong jboss home? Was jboss invalid?
Do you have the log? I would like to solve the issue if exists.
You should connect to port 8080 as written in the summary of installation and
documentation. Why do you try 8700?
It seems that nobody is listening to port 8700:
[wil@bufferoverflow ~]$ netstat -anp | grep 8700
(Not all processes could be identified, non-owned process info
will not be shown, you would have to be root to see it all.)
[wil@bufferoverflow ~]$
[wil@bufferoverflow ~]$ sudo netstat -anp | grep 8700
[wil@bufferoverflow ~]$
Full logs are attached
Thank you so much!
Indeed there is a bug!!!
I succeeded in reproducing it.
I had another installation in my computer which caused it to succeed.
This was a stupid mistake.
I am sorry it took me so long to find it out.
All you need is to fetch new HEAD and install, no need to rebuild (use the DEV_REBUILD=0)
Thank you again,
Alon.
