Where are snapshots stored when using block storage?

Hi, has far as I understand when using block storage disk images are just logical volumes. So what happens when I snapshot a VM? a new LV is created or what? I tried to poke around in my test env without success. Thank you -- Mammoli Cristian System administrator T. +39 0731 22911 Via Brodolini 6 | 60035 Jesi (an)

Hi Cristian, Yes, a new LV is created for the snapshot, you can see the new created LV by logging to the host and running: # pvscan --cache # lvs You will see all the LVs including the new one in the VG that goes by the same name as the storage domain containing the disk On Tue, Jan 26, 2016 at 3:29 PM, Cristian Mammoli <c.mammoli@apra.it> wrote:
