It has been announced that End-of-Life for CentOS Stream 8 is May
31st, 2024.
See announcement:
https://blog.centos.org/2023/04/end-dates-are-coming-for-centos-stream-8-...
What does this mean for the future of the hosted-engine which is
still based on CentOS Stream 8 ???
If there is no official support for CentOS Stream 9, is switching from
CentOS Stream 8 to Rocky/Alma el8 the best thing to do?
To my opinion, CentOS Stream 5 years Cycle release is to short to
support engine...
My personal vote for the next OS flavor/version for both the hosted-
engine and oVirt Node is Rocky Linux 9.
