Hello everybody
I am facing the following issue currently.
I am trying to add a new physical host to our cluster via oVirt Management Engine Web
GUI.
Apparently communication between oVirt Engine and the corresponding host is working well,
since all necessary packages will be installed successfully.
But after a while the installation process fails with the error "No Route to
Host" and the host ends up in state "non operational".
I checked the network interfaces via Web GUI (Host -> Network Interfaces -> Setup
Host Networks) and none of the interfaces are present.
In my opinion this is the main problem. It seems the interfaces are not being recognized.
I tried using a bond interface and a single interface with static configuration (IP, DNS,
Gateway).
None of them worked.

Additionally I "grepped" all WARNs and ERRORs from an installation process. Hope
this is helpfully.
Fun Fact: This time the message "No route to host" is not present.

After a while I managed to access that.
I asked for it, since you said the 'installation process failed'.
Please also get us the vdsm.log and supervdsm.log of the failed host.

This logfile indicates that Engine has problems to reach the data base,
which is the reason for the strange behavior.
Can you please check if the data base is alive and can be reached from
Engine's host?

I am pretty sure, the problem is about the ovirtmgmt network interface.
"VDS_INSTALL_FAILED(505), Host p1-pod04.example.com installation failed. Failed to
configure management network on the host."
I think there is a problem regarding OVN or tuned.
We have two other Hosts running without any problems. So in my opinion, there cannot be a
problem regarding the DB.
What do you think?
