Hi, after a painful upgrade from 3.5 to 3.6 (AIO) I try to figure out the deeper meaning of the message which is display on the webinterface. "This Browser version isn't optimal for displaying the application graphics (refer to Documentation for details)" Can anybody please point me where in the Documentation this is explained? I tried the latest Firefox and Google-Chrome from arch linux but still get these message? (I hope it doesn't mean to use the Internet Explorer or now known as Edge) cheers gregor

Hello Gregor, i asked myself the same, but find a answer. I tried actual firefox, ms edge and chrome browser, but same warning message. i tested iceweasel now and no message, but i cant believe that its the only full working browser. however i couldnt find any option which doesnt work on the other browser. i will compare iceweasel later too. All modern browsers work fine. It has todo with the fact that compiling ovirt-engine for all browser versions is taking to much resources. It has to do with how ovirt uses GWT if I'm correct. Searching the mailinglist for this message + GWT will probably reveal a message from a developer with a bit more info than I can remember. Regards, Joop

We will be changing this message soon. All modern browsers should work. On Dec 26, 2015 15:26, "noc" <noc@nieuwland.nl> wrote:

Its a little bit of a legacy thing. We basically officially support FF ESR release and IE9+. This has to partially do with the GWT permutations and partially with the fact that some time ago we didn't support mime type based virt viewer. You would have to install a plugin in your browser in order to start virt-viewer. IIRC the only browsers that had a plugin were FF and IE. I can look at the code to be sure, but the message won't appears on MS IE9+ and FF ESR 38. All other browsers it will appear due to the above. As Yaniv mentioned we will be changing that soon.
