[Users] what drivers are used

Hi all, What video and sound card is ovirt using? From what i've read, for kvm it seems that the best video driver will be the vmware one. Also, is the iso from http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/bin/ the correct one? I have in windows no driver for video and also another unknown PCI device, but Windows can't find any driver on that iso. Best regards,

Then qxl, but how do I install the drivers for Windows? At least Windows XP can't find anything on the iso I use: it seems that there are only scsi, net and baloon drivers there. On Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 9:43 AM, Itamar Heim <iheim@redhat.com> wrote:

Can you help me understand how this works: - if I set the console to vnc, windows found a video driver for a cirrus logic card - if I set the console to spice, it sees the qxl graphic adaptor What is the point of using different drivers? In case I connect only via rdp, does it matter how the console is set? Which one is recommended? Just to let others how to load the guest tools easily in the VM: - download the exe file - make an iso from the file: mkisofs -J -r -o spice-guest-tools.iso ./spice-guest-tools-0.1.exe - give the proper attributes: chown vdsm:kvm spice-guest-tools.iso - copy it to the iso folder - assign the new iso to the VM Best regards, On Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 11:38 AM, David Jaša <djasa@redhat.com> wrote:
