[Users] Can I use couple nodes just for storage?

I want to use couple nodes for storage. Since these nodes dosn't have VT capability it will be a bit of a problem using ovirt. Can I disable the vt check while installing a single node? Building manually a node? A engine node without VT support? is it possible? As an example I have two server class nodes which works for a very long time and supports sata but lack VT technology. Another option is to use couple tiny devices with ovirt on them to for lower cost home storage. Thanks, Eliezer

Why not use those nodes as NFS or Gluster storage? -----Original Message----- From: users-bounces@ovirt.org [mailto:users-bounces@ovirt.org] On Behalf Of Eliezer Croitoru Sent: Tuesday, March 25, 2014 6:58 PM To: users@ovirt.org Subject: [Users] Can I use couple nodes just for storage? Why not use those nodes as NFS or Gluster storage? I have no problem with that but ovirt gives me the option to manage with

just add a new cluster, disable the 'virt' usage and enable the 'gluster' usage in the cluster. ovirt will not check for VT, then you can deploy hosts in this cluster to be configured as gluster nodes, configure bricks/volumes on them, and use that volume to create a gluster storage domain to run VMs on.
