Live Snapshot support on EL 6.6 with oVirt 3.5 now "Inactive" when "Active" on EL 6.5
On EL 6.5 Host and oVirt 3.5, I was able to create live snapshot (Live Snapshot Support: Active). After upgrading host to EL 6.6, the oVirt UI now reports live snapshot as "Inactive". I have submitted bug 1158469 with more details (package versions, etc). https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1158469 I would assume that is it not advisable to upgrade from EL 6.5 to EL 6.6 at this time if you require Live Snapshot support on the Host.

bugs are there indeed to break working things... ;-) at the end oVirt uses Qmeu/KVM and libvirt so I suppose it will run something like this to create live snapshot: virsh snapshot-create-as myvm snapshot1 "snapshot1 description" --disk-only --atomic due to bug in libvirt, this command will fail in unpatched RH EL 6.6 and oVirt will return error to the user too... I didn't verify this bug as I don't have any 6.6 yet, but I presume the workflow should be the one above... HIH, Gianluca
