utostarting VMs after restart

Hi, where are located the scripts starting VMs in the environment oVirt? I would like to add skrytpt taking off virtual machines to the list of competing services during system startup. Is it possible to do such a thing? So that the effect was evident starting in webmin-portal. -- G.Sz.

What scripts do you mean? Currently, I'm aware of two means of autostarting: 1. mark the VM as "Highly Available", it will be autostarted on engine (re)start an restarted after failure (crash or watchdog action or ...). This is done by engine service itself 2. hosted engine scripts do autostart ovirt-engine VM in hosted engine setups so although you mention scripts, I guess what you want is 1. David

Hi. Could you explain this:
2. hosted engine scripts do autostart ovirt-engine VM in hosted engine setups
I do not know how to do it. My scenerio is like this: 1. hard restart physical machine (command reboot) 2. after restart when all is run include ovirt-engine i would that my VMs starded automaticaly 2014-09-17 11:19 GMT+02:00 David Jaša <djasa@redhat.com>:

I forgot add that ovirt-engine with ovirt-node and all stay in one physical machine, so when I run command "reboot" all is shutdown 2014-09-17 15:24 GMT+02:00 Grzegorz Szypa <grzegorz.szypa@gmail.com>:

It should already be possible to script this using ovirt-shell, see man ovirt-shell or ovirt-shell -h Joop --------------020700050108050201010902 Content-Type: text/html; charset=windows-1252 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv="Content-Type"> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000"> <div class="moz-cite-prefix">On 17-9-2014 15:24, Grzegorz Szypa wrote:<br> </div> <blockquote cite="mid:CACL97+gD5SSTxQZbmw=-Uw0nANdX61tbFi_UM6WL7D4qBWvQqQ@mail.gmail.com" type="cite"> <div dir="ltr"> <div class="gmail_quote"> <div dir="ltr">Hi. <br> <br> <div>Could you explain this:</div> <span class=""> <div><br> </div> <div>> <span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">2. hosted engine scripts do autostart ovirt-engine VM in hosted engine</span></div> <span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">setups</span> <div><font face="arial, sans-serif"><br> </font></div> </span> <div><font face="arial, sans-serif">I do not know how to do it.<br> </font> <div><br> </div> </div> <div><br> </div> <div>My scenerio is like this:</div> <div>1. hard restart physical machine (command reboot)</div> <div>2. after restart when all is run include ovirt-engine i would that my VMs starded automaticaly</div> </div> <br> </div> </div> </blockquote> It should already be possible to script this using ovirt-shell, see man ovirt-shell or ovirt-shell -h<br> <br> Joop<br> <br> </body> </html> --------------020700050108050201010902--
