I don't want to delete and rebuild again. > you cannot change pool's template, because it means replacing all the disks for all the vms in the pool, which is basically the same as removing the pool and creating a new one. but, you can do something similar in 3.4, using template versions: in 3.4, when you create the pool, you can select a template and LATEST as the version. when you create a new template, you can make it a version of the original template, and the pool will update to this template.
