Hello, for running spice-html5 and novnc you also must update certificates in your browser - it means you must add the certificate that websocket proxy uses (SSL_CERTIFICATE in the config file) to the browser (or trust the CA of the engine). Hi, I was just busy with this today. I stopped with installing the virt-viewer on OSX, so I'm really into the NoVNC version. After the installation of the webproxy on the engine I was wondering if I need to re-run the whole setup like here: http://www.ovirt.org/Features/noVNC_console#Test_case_1_-_Websocket_Proxy_on... Hmm, that's strange - in current implementation IE support is turned off (because IE version < 11 doesn't implement some supporting functions correctly). Wasn't the spice-html5 option greyed out in the Console Options? Yes, when choosing Spice, monitor option is greyed out in the Console Options in my IE10. Many people are using IE whose version is less than 11 for now, which I think will last for a long time. Will it be possible to use spice in IE(8,9,10) in the near future?

Thanks, indeed that's a bug You can try in Firefox or Chrome, it should work there. The reason is in one part of code we assume that since you have Windows and IE10 you should have the ActiveX plugin (the only supported way before 3.3) and grays out the option because you didn't install the plugin. We should allow the options dialog every time. VNC with novnc(integrated client) same as spice-html5 VNC with virt-viewer or other VNC client (standalone), invoked via MIME again, works in all browsers RDP with rdesktop or native Microsoft client, invoked via MIME works in all browsers, however the format of the downloaded file is only recognizable by the native Microsoft RDP client
you need to check in display options dialog the way how the console is invoked(plugin or mime or auto based on your platform/browser)

Sorry, it did not work. And there is no "monitor" in IE(10) if the monitor type is SPICE now even if I installed the SpiceX.cab.
Yes, when choosing Spice, monitor option is greyed out in the Console Options in my IE10.
Many people are using IE whose version is less than 11 for now, which I think will last for a long time. Will it be possible to use
spice in
IE(8,9,10) in the near future?

Thanks, indeed that's a bug You can try in Firefox or Chrome, it should work there. The reason is in one part of code we assume that since you have Windows and IE10 you should have the ActiveX plugin (the only supported way before 3.3) and grays out the option because you didn't install the plugin. We should allow the options dialog every time. So..workaround for you right now is - install ActiveX plugin correctly - http://www.ovirt.org/How_to_Connect_to_SPICE_Console_With_Portal or - use Firefox
