Help to setup ovirt release 40
Hi, I have tried below steps to setup ovirt-engine on centos 6 os. Please help me to install ovirt engine on my machine. Steps: 1> Install "ovirt relase 40 rpm" Download from http://plain.resources.ovirt.org/pub/yum-repo/ovirt-release40.rpm 2> executed command "postgresql-setup initdb" --- output --- Initializing database ... why are you still using centos 6? Right. engine-setup can do everything for you. To start from scratch you can do something like this: service postgresql stop rm -rf /var/lib/pgsql/data Best,

You need to perform exactly those steps I wrote below to install oVirt 4, all dependencies including PostgreSQL are automatically resolved either by 'yum install ovirt-engine' or by 'engine-setup'. If you still have some issues, please provide exact errors from 'yum install' steps or setup logs from 'engine-setup' step. Thanks Martin Perina

If you still have some issues, please provide exact errors from 'yum install' steps or setup logs from 'engine-setup' step.

Hi Martin, I am sorry, I am trying installing ovirt on my VM OS (cntos). And here I had 2 VMs Centos 7 and 6. And I had played around some configuration in both VM and hence it was failing. I forgot what I had executed in that VM. Anyway, after fresh installation. I am able to setup ovirt-engine.
