Ssh to the host that failed to mount and then: mount -t nfs <FQDN_OR_IP_OF_NFS_SERVER>:/<EXPORT> /mnt To verify the mount: findmnt /mnt Usually it is recommended to set the NFS with anonguid and anonuid to '36' and also use 'all_squash'. This will prevent a lot of issues. Failed to resolve is pretty obvious: - typo in the NFS host name - DNS issue You can test by adding an entry for the NFS host in /etc/hosts.
