Hi, Yes you need some sort of replication of your Storage Domains to be able to recover from a disaster. The more frequent replication, the less you'd loose. Storage arrays provide this feature natively and go as far as synchronous (real time) replication and automatic failover. So, oVirt would even not be aware of any failure. This is handled under the hood at the storage level.
