I noticed that the initramfs and vmlinuz files are zero-sized
How can I retrieve or generate new ones?

You are correct, however vmlinuz did not appear.
I got an ISO with the same kernel version and installed it in a virtual
machine, copied the files and ran dracut one more time
It worked
