I am attempting to upgrade from ovirt-engine 4.1 to 4.2 however yum updates are failing due to dependency conflicts. I'm using the instructions located at https://www.ovirt.org/release/4.2.1/#install--upgrade-from-previous-versions

Yes - you should first update to the latest 4.1 release, or at least 4.1.7: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1502592 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1503196
