just out of pure curiosity: In a BZ [1] Allon mentions SPM will go away in ovirt 3.6.
This seems like a major change for me. I assume this will replace sanlock as well? What will SPM be replaced with?
No, sanlock is not going anywhere.
The change is that we will not have an SPM node, but any node that need to make meta data changes, will take a lock using sanlock while it make the changes.
Federico: can you describe in more details how it is going to work?

Chandrahasa: (Apologies for the delayed reply, I was on vacation.) This is an ongoing debate in the oVirt community. On the one hand, a forum would lend itself well to the benefits you describe, but on the other hand, the community has grown comfortable with the mailing list format. We have considered both, but separate "channels" could divert attention away from either channel. Currently, we are exploring an upcoming Mailman 3 tool, known as hyperkitty, which should enable using the mailing list content much more like a forum. This *should* give us the kind of access you are describing. Peace, BKP ----- Original Message -----

I'd love to see hyperkitty in action! +1 Am 18.08.2014 15:58, schrieb Brian Proffitt:
