I'll copy Michal's answer from another thread: "Indeed it won’t work for el8 guests. Unfortunately an el7 libguestfs(so any virt- tool) can’t work with el8 filesystems. I’m not shure what’s wrong or missing. The VM image is using UEFI with Secure Boot, so standard UEFI partition is in place.
