[ANN] oVirt 3.6.5 Final Release is now available

The oVirt Project is pleased to announce today the general availability of oVirt 3.6.5. This latest community release includes new features and bug fixes for - oVirt Engine - VDSM - oVirt Hosted Engine HA - oVirt Hosted Engine Setup - oVirt Reports - oVirt Engine SDK - oVirt Engine Extension AAA LDAP oVirt is an open-source, openly-governed enterprise virtualization management application, developed by a global community. You can use the oVirt management interface (oVirt Engine) to manage hardware nodes, storage and network resources, and to deploy and monitor virtual machines running in your data center. If you are familiar with VMware products, oVirt is conceptually similar to vSphere. oVirt serves as the bedrock for Red Hat's Enterprise Virtualization product, and it is the "upstream" project where new features are developed prior to their inclusion in Red Hat's supported product offering. It seems that only this one, inside mirror list (for el7): mirrorlist= http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/yum-repo/mirrorlist-ovirt-3.6-el$releasever is out of sync... (latest packages are of 18/03/2016) http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/virtual/ovirt/ovirt-3.6/rpm/el7/noarch/ Gianluca PS: sorry for cross posting to many lists in the previous message, I didn't notice...

please try again, maybe mirrors are out of sync. try commenting mirrorlist and enabling baseurl for the ovirt repos. Thanks,

Yes, it worked this way, as previously confirmed in a private message also from Gary Lloyd (thanks!) It was just to notice this misalignment: a new installing user (nearby the broken mirror) will get 3.6.3 and not 3.6.5 and neither 3.6.4, as the reported mirror site missed that too (3.6.4 released on late March) and is not aligned since more than one month now... Fedora uses mirrormanager: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/MirrorManager but somebody has to manage the server side of that (mirror admin web access and such). -- Chris Adams <cma@cmadams.net>

I think that it's time to move the discussion to infra.

Hello oVirt world, Please note that the workaround described above is working, and please note that without it, no upgrade is returned (staying in 3.6.3). Though not knowing who's in charge of managing the repositories mirroring, it may be worth having a look. Have a nice day. -- Nicolas ECARNOT

Hey, we are working on adding mirror site health check. In the mean while as far as I can tell the only site which is out of sync is indeed mirror.nluug.nl, it will be removed from the mirror file until its synced again(overall there are 9 sites).
