core: Fix RandomUtils#nextPropertyString

nextPropertyString was implemented incorrectly, with a misunderstanding
of how RandomStringUtils works, in a way that may have returned illegal
characters such as '[', ']' and ' '.
This patch fixes it so it really returns strings that only contain
alpha-numeric characters, underscores ('_') and periods ('.').
