 there is a large number of plugins that are not updated on master server.

 should upgrade all plugins versions (best to do it gradually, so updating
 a few + restarting jenkins) -> verifying nothing is broken.

 if something stops working, best to check jenkins.log and on worst case
 downgrade the plugin.
