I have no idea about the usefulness of the list, I'm neither a dev or a user :-).

As for disabling, we can activate emergency moderation to be sure nothing gets in from now on. To avoid receiving crap the best way seem to disable the aliases (then we won't have to moderate SPAM incoming subscriptions).
