[Users] how macro-variables is replaced

in vdsm code, there are many macro-variables like @xxxxx at .
i want to know how it is replaced by real value.
like config.py.in.
 ('trust_store_path', '@TRUSTSTORE@',
            'Where the certificates and keys are situated.'),
