Im running oVirt 3.4.0-0.7.beta2.el6

rpm -qa |grep qemu-kvm
qemu-kvm-tools-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.3.x86_64
qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6_5.3.x86_64

And its failing with this error in the engine.log

It should be supported since 3.2. See

So in current stable 3.3.3 it should be ok.
take in mind that it depends on live snapshots, so limitation on RHEL / CerntOS 6.5 apply.
In that case you should use the recent qemu-kvm rebuilt from jenkins job, as noted in other threads today:
