What do you mean you cannot attach to the engine? You cant login to the admin console? Does the admin console even show up anymore?

I force installed the following...but after installation the host can not attach to the ovirt-engine any more....

on the physical hosts (BTW my hosts are running on CentOS 6.5 with latest yum updates).

The host throw the following error :-

Host gfs1.linux.com does not comply with the cluster SV-Cluster emulated machines. The Hosts emulated machines are Non interactive user and the cluster is rhel6.5.0}

Are you using Centos 6 ?? 


Binaries for quemu-kvm from Centos don't have the live snapshot feature activated (The source code has the features but the rpms are compiled without them) 
You can download and install with rpm and the "--force" option the rpms provided in http://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/qemu-kvm-rhev_create-rpms_el6/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/rpms/ (Download the last version of every rpm)
