Hi, 
The embedded dashboards are currently not working due to a bug in JRS 5.5. We know this has been fixed in JRS 5.6 and once we rebase this will work. 
There is no way to remove this tab without also removing the right click reports currently. We do not plan to fix this since it will be resolved with JRS 5.6. 
You are welcome to donate a patch to allow the tab removal only for now.
