[ovirt-users] How to change the hosted engine VM RAM size after deploying

When I try to change the RAM settings I get the following in a popup box.

Cannot edit virtual machine disk. This VM is not managed by the engine.

After some fiddling it seemed to accept the memory setting even though the dialog was showing the error.

Restarting the via hosted-engine -vm-shutdown & --startup, the Vm still had the old memory settings even though the engine GUI shows the new setting.

How can I increase the RAM for the VM without re-deploying it?

Please try manually importing the hosted-engine storage domain into the engine (it should work automatically but currently it's still non there).
At that point the engine VM should come up into the engine and you should be able to edit some parameters including its memory.
When done shutdown the engine VM. The hosted-engine HA agent will bring it up for you with the new configuration.
