Nothing is easy as it looks (Murphy's law)  ;-)

There are cons and pros for moving the ISO (and the export domain) it to
become a regular data domain (vs. the complete opposite - just making it a
regular directory, not a domain or anything).
- It definitely will require (better) management tools (compared to the
basic ISO uploader and being able to easily rename & delete ISOs in the ISO
domain).
- It will provide better performance in some cases (does it matter for the
ISO domain? Not sure).
- It may relieve the need for NFS altogether (if you are using some other
storage technology)
- It will make sharing the domain more difficult across (put your favorite
item here - data centers, products, continents...)
- It will simplify the code in some areas.
