Thanks for the reply.
I do have it installed and set to auto start on boot. I also did a check to make sure the service is still running. At this point it's been running for 7 days on this particular vm.

Did you start the guest agent service? How to start it depends on your guest
OS. Also make sure to have it auto start on boot of the VM, again the
procedure to do this is different for each guest OS.
