Hi Wee,
from the log it seams that the network configuration worked as expected.
Your issue was different: 'Connection to storage server failed' simply
means that your host lost its connection with the storage server in the
middle of the deployment.

>From the logs I saw that you tried to deploy on GlusterFS using the host
where you are deploying hosted-engine host also for gluster: this setup is
called hyper-converged but it's currently not supported, please wait for
the next major release to deploy in this scenario.

In the mean time you can deploy hosted-engine pointing it to a gluster
volume on other external hosts or with another storage type.
