Election for Project Manager -- Voting Closes 2012-09-14

This is a call for votes for one of the two candidates for the oVirt Project Manager Position. Voting closes at EOD 2012-09-14. The Candidates Moran Goldboim Mike Burns The Role: Project Manager Responsibilities: Maintain Schedule Run weekly meeting Coordinate with project maintainers on dates, features, etc Ensure that docs and release materials are ready for release Final say on what goes into a release Tracking new features Tracking action items Release Schedule This person should be empowered to make decisions for the project (based on input from maintainers, but final call is theirs). As for choosing this person, it could be done via general election on email or an IRC meeting. I'd suggest having someone do it for a limited timeline, maybe 2 or 3 releases, then another election is held. There are no term limits, so if a person wants to continue past the 2 or 3 releases, all they need is to be reelected. Please submit your votes by the deadline! Thanks Mike

Hi Mike, What's the voting procedure? Reply to the arch list indicating one's preference? Cheers, Dave. On 09/12/2012 05:07 PM, Mike Burns wrote:

Hmm, I had thought that we would do the election in the open, but maybe people don't want to do that. Maybe have people reply on arch@ if they're willing to do voting in the open, and otherwise, send the vote directly to you, Dave? Thoughts? Mike
Cheers, Dave.
