The wording is wrong.
You PLUG/UNPLUG a cable.
You REMOVE/INSERT a card.
unwired means wireless.
Missing from the design is what actually happening. I assume you
change
the link state. It might be worth while to just use 'link state:
up/down'. Anyone can understand that.
You are right, however how do we avoid confusing with libvirt terminology having
REMOVE/INSERT as hot-plug/unplug?
However indeed wiring may still be changed to link state - need not confuse though with
internal OS terminology of interface up/down.
