Greetings team, I wish to open for discussion the design session I am facing. I reported a bug on this issue here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1245931 Initial state: -------------- Operating and data center, with one or more running VM. Each VM has one or more attached VM-disk. Quota is disabled. Change to data center configuration: ------------------------------------ Enable (audit or enforce) quota on the data center. Create 2 or more quota constraints. Problem occurrence ------------------ 1. Editing existing VM-disk. The VM-disk is assigned the first arbitrary quota constraints, in the list box. If the user is not mindful, the quota selection is incorrect. 2. Creating new VM-disk The VM-disk is assigned the first arbitrary quota constraints, in the list box. If the user is not mindful, the quota selection is incorrect. For discussion: --------------- 1. Define a policy for setting the default quota constraint, on new disk. ^^^ 2. Define a policy for setting the default quota constraint, on existing disks (prior to enabling quota on data center). ^^^^^^^^ 3. Define a policy for restoring/resetting quota constraint, on existing disks (after re-enabling quota on data center). ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Your comments are appreciated.
