Hi, just an heads up that a new release of UnboundID LDAP SDK for Java is available upstream. I'm going to build it for Fedora Rawhide, please let me know if we need it for 4.2, requiring a backport to Fedora 25 / 26 and EL7 or if it can just stay in Rawhide for ovirt >= 4.3 consumption.
Here the release notes: https://github.com/pingidentity/ldapsdk/releases/tag/4.0.0
Fedora tracking bug: Bug 1461604 <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1461604> - unboundid-ldapsdk-4.0.0 is available
Thanks,
Is 4.0 backwards compatible with 3.y.z? Should it be a new whatever4 package?
AFAIK the major change is that now it requires Java >= 1.7, dropping support for 1.5 and 1.6. Also add support for Java 9. -- SANDRO BONAZZOLA ASSOCIATE MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING, EMEA ENG VIRTUALIZATION R&D Red Hat EMEA <https://www.redhat.com/> <https://red.ht/sig> TRIED. TESTED.
