Hi Yedidyah,
I don't do open source at the moment. I want to start contributing to open
source. I am trying to find projects that I find interesting.
I did start looking at the developer page and the documentation. I have
been reading up on the material.
Just to clarify, I understand there is no easy contribution. I am only
looking for help with first time contributions.
I do understand that it is a steep learning curve with no experience. I am
willing to put in the effort to be a part of the system.
I am trying to contact groups to see if someone has something similar to a
mentorship or a peer program to guide me through the process.
Thanks for your input.
Regards,
Maithreyi

Do you use Open Source in your daily work? At home? Elsewhere? Do you use
oVirt?
Personally, I think it's best to start contributing to software you
actually use.
If you are interested in oVirt, you should probably start by looking
around
https://www.ovirt.org/develop/ .
If in "easy first contribution" you refer to a code change/patch, then I
might warn you that it's not really that "easy", if you have no experience
with oVirt and related technologies as a user, first. I think it took me
around a month, back then...
Good luck and best regards,
