Hi, just an heads up that now oVirt Appliance is based on CentOS Stream, targeting 4.4.5 to be released. The build should be available on master repos tomorrow
morning.
Did you try it? Now did (in OST locally) and engine-setup failed. This should fix:
good catch
What about ovirt-node and ost-images?
We build el8stream-based ost images nightly. Currently the u/s nightly job is broken again, so the ones you will find on templates.ovirt.org are a bit outdated.
Yes, I noticed that and spent some time trying to understand/fix, but eventually gave up and posted above.
If it's due to centos 8.3 issues, perhaps we can give up on it and build only with Stream.
Also, now that Sandro builds engine based on Stream, we should make "he-installed" include that too, once it's published.
The d/s ost images repo is up to date AFAICS.
To run OST on el8stream you should:
export OST_IMAGES_DISTRO=el8stream ./run_suite.sh basic-suite-master
I'd also change this to be the default.
