I just upgraded to ovirt 4.0.2. With the upgrade
to ovirt-engine-cli-3.6.8.1-1.el7.centos.noarch, the problem is solved.

Hi,
Is ovirt-engine-cil still funtional in ovirt 4.0.1?
I have been able to use it to list VMs, but not for actions that require a
name/id parameter.
Here is what happens when I try to start a VM:
$ ovirt-shell -f list-down-vms.txt

>>> connected to oVirt manager 4.0.1.0 <<<

[oVirt shell ( connected )]# list vms --kwargs "status-state=down" |grep
