Partial success, we have now a failing test:

It fail because we don't have a checksum on storage:
expected='9\x19\x00\x00', actual='\x00\x00\x00\x00'
So now we need to understand why the checksum bytes were not written to storage
in this test, but was in storage the other 999 tests.
